I am very quiet at the moment. My daughter became a minister from your site. I have been out of the loop so to speak. I believe in a universal system of spirituality. Dogma is so much a vital part of most religious churches. Spiritual churches bring forth the body, mind, soul and spirit in all of us great and small. I thank you for this site.

I hate to say it, but it is true. Before any of you bleeding hearts want to say Islam is a peaceful religion, you ought to read the Quran first. It is full of many, many slurs (and worse) against anyone who is not Muslim. Hussein Didi was only following direct comments made in the Quran. Everything he said to the couple is supported in the Quran. Anyone who is NOT Muslim should avoid this “country”(if you can call it that) because it has as part of its constitution that Islam is the only recognized and legal religion. …………. The implications are obvious for anyone “Western”…..besides, there cannot be any Jewish or Christian religious leader practicing on the islands because they would be arrested (or at least breaking the law). Google “Maldive” + wikipedia and scroll down to Religion.

Oh, what a terrible thing to have happen! What animals humans can still be, and how appalling that someone could do something so cruel and malicious! Seems to me that the hotel itself had to have been involved, if they paid extra and arranged this ahead of time.

I sincerely hope that the Government of the Maldives takes this VERY seriously, because I tell you that I and MY FAMILY will NEVER go to such a hateful and immature place! There are AT LEAST a thousand other places to go to that are just as tropical and beautiful, and where the inhabitants know better than to treat their customers and guests that way!

As much as I have despaired of trying to find people who can be understanding and humane to surround myself with, every time I hear a story like this I despair anew. Things like this are what drove me away from organized religion to begin with. Will the human race ever grow up?

That crisis seems to be from the pedophilia in the church. Big news on pedophiles = no memberships at church. Lets see if the pope stood up and had a backbone about taking care of the pedophilia in churches I’m pretty sure there would be more members in the catholic churches. Especially families with little boys.

I hadn’t thought before that youtube and the like created immortality, but I suppose it does. It can also create a weird sort of celebrity too. I posted some of my martial arts on youtube before so many other doing my style had, and because of it, I’ve had people from various places on globe get excited to meet me because they’ve ’seen me on youtube.’ It’s a little disconcerting. I suppose it’ll still be there long after I’m gone — or youtube goes out of business.

This was an inspiring article for me. I have been pondering the concept of immortality and how so many religions seem to use that concept as a tool to attract and keep followers. The fear of dying surrounds so many people that they must believe in some sort of after world to comfort them from something so natural and inevitable.

There are now so many thoughts swirling around in my head that I will take some time to process them and develop my own words to describe what you have given to me. Thank you! I needed that!

The reason for separation of church and state is obviously for the protection of both. Too bad that Facebook has so little courage it doesn’t have the strength to be strong with millions of followers who would support a complete separation of Facebook and supernatural threats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because there aren’t any supernatural beings, only lunatics pretending to hear them.
